In our recent article, Engaging the Class of 2020, we collated examples from schools and universities across the globe as they found virtual ways to commemorate their class of 2020. We found some brilliant examples from schools across the UK who have been working hard and getting creative to celebrate their 2020 leavers without their traditional end-of-year events. Our customers have been sharing their highlights filled with top engagement rates, innovative approaches to leavers celebrations and wonderful community spirit. 

Concord College has been busy hosting the very first virtual graduation ceremony in their history! They have also created a series of videos to update students informed about the situation of their school, as well as highlighting the benefits of joining their Alumni Network. So far, over 60 leavers have created new online profiles, with their grand finale video still to be posted! 

Wells Cathedral School presents all leaving students with a personalised Life Membership Token, a lovely gesture of lifelong friendship, support and community. They achieve over 95% engagement with their leavers through alumni welcome events, mentoring schemes and Facebook/LinkedIn private groups. 

Berkhamsted Prefects have been encouraging their peers to join their alumni community through Whatsapp, with their Head of House also highlighting the benefits of joining. They will use their alumni site to invite all leavers to their end of year Ball, giving them something to look forward to!

Tonbridge School have quickly adapted to virtual events, planning exciting events such as a live film awards night and a virtual choir with the entire school singing the school song. They are using TonbridgeConnect to advertise mentoring talks that will be hosted throughout the summer to provide useful advice for their leavers.

Watford Grammar School for Girls has achieved their highest sign up rate of 88% to their alumnae site. They have been posting updates on end-of-year celebrations and student admins have been posting articles to help support and engage their peers.
